Visitors

I have talked at length with others that would like to see growth in the Episcopal Church and have got some interesting thoughts. I honestly believe if more people understood our basic values they would find a comfortable place to be with God's people. What do you feel would be the most effective way to draw in more visitors to Mass? (Please comment I would like for everyone to participate that is able to do so)

  1. I feel that the most effective way to draw in visitors is to personally invite at least 1 person per month to visit.

  2. Invite others, and tell others about what we do @ St. Paul. When people come and spend time with us, then they might realize church can be something better than they imagined.

  3. Tell others that at St. Paul everyone is truly welcome, that it's a relaxed atmosphere where you can be yourself, and you don't have to worry about being shouted at. I couldn't picture Henry yelling! In my time at St. Paul, from the very first moment, I felt like a part of the church's family. That is HUGE to me. I can't thank everyone enough for what you've done for Ron and me.

  4. Has anyone heard of the legislation Stacey Campfield is trying to get passed? It's called "Don't Say Gay." The legislation is intended to keep schools from teaching about sexuality other than heterosexuality, specifically elementary and middle schools. It's not like anything else other than heterosexuality is being taught there anyway! Sheesh! There's going to be a rally at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church on Sunday from 2pm-5pm. Here's the info:

  5. It is sad to see how undeducated some of our "leaders" are. The sad thing is this man has been elected more than once. I don't understand it. I am keeping him in my prayers. I am hoping one day he'll come out. :)
